COPA plans to join Anna Valencia City Clerk Office along with various other city departments and sister agencies to connect with the community. At this mobile outreach event COPA will have a resource table and share with the public the agency role in police oversight.
Hamline Elementary Open House
On Tuesday, September 12th, Hamline Elementary located at 4747 S. Bishop Street will host an Open House for families and community members. Families will have a chance to explore classrooms, meet staff, educators, and community partners supporting Hamline. COPA will be present to connect with meeting attendees and share our agency role in police accountability.
ACERO Schools Leader Summit
COPA met with school leaders, parents and students at this school to share our agency role in police oversight. Most of the communities represented at this event included Avondale, Belmont-Cragin, Humboldt Park, Rogers & surrounding neighborhoods. This event will take place at McCormick YMCA (1834 N. Lawndale Avenue - Chicago, IL 60647).

St Sabina Employment Resource Center’s Fall Career & Resource Fair
COPA will participate in this career and resource fair to help the public better understand the agency mission, explain the importance of police oversight, and inform them of any current job openings. This event will take plae on September 21st from 10AM-2PM at St. Sabina Church in Chicago, IL.
Public Meetings of the Police Board
The Police Board holds a regular public meeting once a month. The meetings are on the third Thursday of the month and begin at 7:30pm (please see below).
