This post was updated on June 4, 2024, to include all relevant Chicago Police Department records in COPA’s possession that are required to be released related to the use of force in this officer-involved shooting and the events immediately following it. A previous court order entered on January 25, 2022, in the case of People v. Pierre Tyler, No. 22CR-00757, that prohibited COPA’s release is no longer in place. That order is included in the materials below. There are no video or audio recordings related to the use of force in this case.
