Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act’s personal information exemption (5 ILCS 140/7(1)(c)) which protects the unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) has redacted certain audio and video materials relative to this incident.
Pursuant to the City’s Video Release Policy, COPA posts all media and documentary materials that are relevant to the subject matter of the investigation and in COPA’s possession at the time of initial release. COPA will issue a supplemental release if it subsequently obtains or ascertains that it has possession of additional media or documentary materials relevant to the subject matter of the investigation.
