Pursuant to MCC – Chpt. 2-78-150(b), COPA is required to post on its website for public review and file with the Mayor or his designee, the Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, the Chairman of the City Council Committee on Public Safety, and the office of the City Clerk, an annual report no later than the fifteenth day of February of each year. Each annual report contains (a) statistical information including the number of investigations opened, pending, closed, sustained and not sustained, and (b) any policy recommendations made to the Chicago Police Department, since the last annual report. In order to increase the transparency of the work done by COPA, each annual report prepared by COPA is published here on our website.
